Following the successful album “Inspiration”, Max Ionata has just started on his new project featuring Mannutza’s groovy modal organ and Tucci’s contemporary Latin / Soul / Jazz / Funk based beats. Meeting again with fabulous trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso, these finest 4 formed the Diarchal Trumpet-Tenor Quartet, that may remind us of those legendary modal organ quartets in the mid 60’s. There’s no revival here though, just a good bunch of fresh, energetic Italian Neo-Hardbop sounds.
